[SOLVED] Can't acces my external hard drive

Hello there. So I was making backup of my phone to my external hdd and suddenly the phone just turned off due to low battery (I didn't realize it) and now I connect the external drive to pc it's not showing up in device manager, drive manager, diskpart and file explorer. I know that drive is not dead because this already happened and my friend fixed it but I don't know how. Any idea?

Why not ask your friend if the same thing happened and he fixed it?

Odd, the phone should have been charging while plugged into the PC and even if it (the phone) shut down it should only have caused the transfer to go to 0kb/s and cancelling out of it shouldn't effect the HDD.

Since the drive isn't appearing on this PC, then try connecting it to a different pc.

Things to look for

• led activity. is it normal or unusual
• do you feel the drive spin up, slightly vibrating?
• clicking? any normal or unusual clicking noise?
