Can't access anything on my NAS that needs an IP address after installing new router

Tom's lost my original post when it asked me to login, so rather than re-writing it all again, here's the condensed version:

  • Bought a new ASUS RT-AC86U router.
Unable to do anything on the NAS that requires it's IP address (i.e logging in to the NAS, connecting to Deluge)
Still able to access shared folders on it via Windows Explorer
Pinging the NAS gives me a bunch of letters and number starting with "fe80::". Google says this is an ipv6 address, so I disabled ipv6 on my router, but this didn't change anything.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Solution
Login to router and just look at connected devives, will list the IP. Did you not setup the NAS with a static IP or a reserved IP in DHCP, as this is a must to avoid issues?

As for IPv6, doessn't hurt to leave it enabled, even if you still only use IPv4 addresses.

I normaly leave 192.168.1.2-19 for static/reserved IP's and set the DHCP pool to 20-50.

When I check the properties of a shared folder, it just says "Location: \\NAS". Am I looking in the right place? My NAS is a Netgear ReadyNAS 104.

Yep, turns out the new router is using a different subnet from my old router, which broke access to my NAS since it was using a static IP on a different subnet. That's why I couldn't access it via any methods that use the IP address!
