Guys Im so sorry for asking this question cause Ive personally read close to what seems like 100 of this question with multiple different answers and suggestions... Sadly none have worked for me yet so thats why Im now going to ask the question thats been asked 100 times if not more.

How can I get into BIOS, if its not possible any longer, how do I get this new System startup option functioning?!?
This is the things Ive tried to far...

  • Turning off fastboot
EDIT (forgot to add this last night): Changed lock screen background to picture from windows spotlight (someone said it helped him.... somehow or another)
turning BACK ON password to BE required to log in
holding f2, f10, f12, esc, and del all on seperate restarts (obv only 1 per restart by itself)
After doing that for sometime, I went back to the net once again, and stumbled across this new (maybe bios replacement, or atleast a system startup config in some way) by either going to restore>advanced settings>restart>troubleshoot>startup settings OR just by holding shift while clicking restart. Now with this new path I was trying again I was holding f2, f10, f12, esc, and del all on seperate restarts, ofc to no avail... Now heres the weird thing when trying to get into this new system startup (wtf it is) holding any, or not doing anything gives the same result of this weird hangup like its froze before a complete shutdown/not quite loaded past a post... theres no screen, but i still hear the fans and hdd running.

I really am sorry for coming to you guys with this but Ive been turning my comp on and off ALL day (started around noon, and its now 11:15pm :ouch: ) All I wanna do is to be able to change the order of my boot proccess' cause I finally got a ssd I want to boot windows with...

On a side note, I also installed new 2x 8gb replacing old 4x 2gb ram, but i dont see how that could cause a bios boot to be so evasive! Also just trying to cover all my bases here to avoid any longer than needed replies the rest of my system is as follows:

  • ASRock extreme3 Z97 mobo
    intel i5 cpu
    now 2x 8gb DDR3 240pin (still have the old 4x 2gb just incase)
some old canablized 1TB HDD i took out of old gateway
new samsung 230gb SSD 850 w/ cloned HDD data

IF anyone read through all of that, honestly I appericate the effort put in to such a covered topic, and if Im missing something blantly obvious somewhere please just smack me in the face with it at this point!! Thankyou regardless.

Another edit: Something else I just read I might try doing but im not sure it would work plus im not a real fan of the idea... Since the ssd is cloned, if I shut down the comp and remove the hdd and booted it w/ only the sdd would it get set as the new C: local drive? And if thats the case would bios rearrange itself? Then if I added the hdd back would it go back to the hdd being the C: and booting from there? It makes me kinda nervous just 'experimenting' like that while everything is working fine, just not exactly the way I want it too then end up making something worse!

I would just keep tapping on the F2 key over and over while the system boots from a power down.
otherwise, remove the power, and pull the motherboard backup battery wait a minute, put the battery back in and plug in the power. on the next boot it should go into bios and need to be reconfigured

Now this is something ive read a lot of people talking about, but have never done myself. Is this the (CMOS?) battery thats brought up a lot? Also, is it this button battery south of the cpu housing and a little to the left? Ive made an img outlining and pointing to what button battery i think your refering to, but i just want to be triple sure before I do something like that... Sorry all 6 of the different links wouldnt get the img to show in this reply, so idk if none of them work, or if its something this fourm doesnt allow, or if its just cause Im to new/dont have enough posts. Although this link does work, I checked it to make sure.

yep that should be it, it is a lithium battery that should work for 5 years or so.
when it dies or is removed you should loose your configuration info. (time will be set back to defaults when this happens)
