Hi,
I'm trying to get in the BIOS of a Medion Akoya E6421 but no matter which button I spam, it just takes me to this screen:

And then I have no choice but to restart the laptop.
This happens whether there is or isn't a hard drive connected to the sata port.

Solution
I'd still suggest you try an external keyboard (just to be on the safe side), even though you've established that it works, things are not always as they seem, and you can't tell for sure whether the F2 key is working or not. As for the "it wasn't bad yesterday" thing, the same can be said for pretty much any faulty electronics device, any can fail at any given time! Anyhow, you could try removing the laptop's battery, opening it up, and then removing the round cmos battery from the board, leave it out for at least 2 hours, and then put it all back together and see it anything changes (if this doesn't do the trick, get a new CR2032 battery to replace it), if still no go, just accept the fact that the motherboard has gone bad.

The keyboard is fine; if I press a key on that PXE screen it does respond to the keystroke and try again. I honestly don't see how the motherboard or the cmos battery could be bad either because everything used to work just fine yesterday.

I'll try taking out the cmos.
