Hi all, so I have this very old pc I'm trying to just make use able as a browser and upload/download files for clients, watch YouTube videos, etc. Bought an old Pentium 4 processor which arrived yesterday. Opened it today to replace the cpu, and cannot remove this presumably cooler piece on top of the cpu. Cannot even get it to budge from the motherboard. Looks like there mighy possibly be a couple screws on the side but I'm not even positive about that, as I can't access them very well and cannot turn them. Any ideas?

Solution
Try to twist/turn the cooler until it becomes loose (carefully).

Old thermal paste has dried up and glued cooler to the cpu.

BTW - several capacitors on the left side look bulged up. The board might not be viable.
