Can't access Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P FX Bios (No OS)

Hey, just built first PC and having some trouble getting into the bios on my motherboard, I cant even install an os.
I get to the startup screen but if I wait or try to access the bios or any of the other options I get a black screen with the mouse pointer in the middle.
Here's the build:
Motherboard, Gigabyte 970A DS3P FX
GPU, XFX Radeon HD 5770 1 gb
CPU, AMD FX 4300 (Black Edition)
PSU, Corsair CP 550W
RAM, Kingston 4gb DDR3

Tried resetting the CMOS battery and using the jumper thing but cant get it to work.

Try this troubleshooting or go to local PC shop ask for help to test the GPU, RAM, CPU or MB etc.
