[SOLVED] Can't access hard drive

Windows stopped running on my hard drive and I was advice to remove it and make it external hard drive, yet I can't access any of my files. When plugin into a laptop, it would show the name of the disc but the total space on the disc will not display as usual.
Please I need help.

Right click the windows button (bottom left) and enter “disk management” and you should be able to enable it.
Also in device manager you can scan for hardware changes and see if you can find it
