I am trying to share my hardrive on my desktop however I keep getting the error that it cannot be accessed. It says to check the spelling but the spelling is correct.

I have shared my hardrive with full permission.

I have also given full control with permissions for everyone.

I have also turned on network discovery, file and printer sharing under private
I have turned on sharing, enabled 128-bit encryption, and turned OFF password protected sharing.

When trying to diagnose the problem with windows network diagnostics, it says the remote device or resource won't accept the connection.

Can anybody give me advice on how to fix this problem? Thank you so much.

question: do you have a router on your network ? I am asking because most routers have a usb plug on it designed for usb external drive to make them into network drive and they are shared/found by all on the network to be used for , this would be a better alternative to be honest as it would not tax your computer and lower traffic on the network to: Drive-router-pc-> requesting pc, not Drive-pc-network-router-pc and back.
