Can't access my BIOS setup

Hello again,

I have been having trouble accessing my BIOS setup on my Biostar TA970. Whenever I press the Del. key, the system freezes. I recently installed a new AMD FX-6300 6-core processor and 16gb of RAM. Could the CPU be the problem or is it the mobo itself?

Are you running the latest version of the BIOS?

Have you tried with only one stick of RAM at a time?

I am running the latest BIOS version (97XAD807.BSS) and right now only 1 1gb sticks is plugged in and it still freezes when I press the Del. key.

Have you tried different memory sticks?

The latest BIOS should ensure CPU compatibility. If no memory stick works then your best bet is to try your old CPU and the memory. Need to eliminate variables.

I highly doubt the CPU is bad. I would say memory or motherboard first.
