Can't access my old windows 7 partition

Hi!

I have recently installed a new hdd with windows 8. For a while I could perfectly access my old parition with my old operating system. Now I can't even click that partition without my computer freezing, and explorer crashing. Does anyone have any idea what went wrong and how I could fix this? I still got some files I would like to save, before formating it. I got three other partitions on the
same HDD, and they are all running smoothly.

Also, my computer is a lot slower at startup, because it is trying to fix the hdd, or something.

I suspect my recent change of motherboard, has something to to with this- since I accidently ruined the current windows. Thats why I had to install a new hdd in the first place.

yes it will be the motherboard what i recommend is booting from a live usb like ubuntu and recoving your data that way this requires a usb install but means you can pull the data required to a working partition.

it is simple to use just remember chose to run as a live cd nnot to install

Worked pefectly! Not at first try tough, I couldnt access any of the particions on that harddrive, but after a reboot twas okey.. Thanks alot!
