Can't access NVIDIA control panel

I can not access my control panel to get to the 3D manager, a box pops up every time saying that Im not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU, Im using my sharp tv as a comupter monitor and was wondering if thats the reason why its saying that, Im really getting frustrated and need some help please and thanks

check in windows control panel under device manager what is the current active display adapter? is it the nvidia one?
