Question Can't access UEFI/BIOS on HP elite 8200

I bought a used enterprise computer with I7 and no hard drive. I installed a freshly formatted Samsung 1TB SSD. Had a lot of problems loading win10 pro from usb, but finally managed.
I haven't been able to access bios. It says hit esc for startup menu, but it doesn't work. Tried F10, F9 and went through windows troubleshooting and restart options, still no dice.
Since this was used at a large corporation, I am thinking there is some setting that prevents user from accessing the startup menu. can anyone tell me how to get around this?

You are probably going to need a PS/2 keyboard. Once in the BIOS, there will be an option for Legacy USB to enable emulation of a PS/2 keyboard, when using a USB keyboard.

Hi. I tried that too. Usb keyboard seems to work with menus. No difference with ps2 keyboard

Some HPs use F2 or F6 to enter the BIOS instead of F10. And holding it down from before POST while the display is still blank.

I tried both of them but neither worked. Screen says to press esc but that doesn't work either.

Is there some special administrative software to set up these machines?

If you already have Windows 10 installed then the default "Fast Start" will prevent entering BIOS during boot.

Follow the instructions here to enter BIOS. Alternatively you can disable "Fast Start" in the control panel (it's not needed with SSD's)

Did both. Disabled fast start & attempted to use windows troubleshooting.
