Can't Add Printer

can't add shared printer. it says :"windows couldn't connect to the printer. check the printer name and try again. May OS is win10 and the OS where the printer is installed is win7

Can you please check that File and printer sharing is enabled on both Windows 7 and Windows 10 computers, and that the printing device is shared and has all the permissions correctly set to allow it to be shared over the network?

You can turn on File and printer sharing by clicking Change advanced sharing settings from the left pane of the Network and Sharing Center window. To get to the Network and Sharing Center window in Windows 7, you can right-click the Network icon in the notification area, whereas in Windows 10, you can right-click Start, go to Network Connections, and then click Network and Sharing Center from the right window.
