Can't back up PS4 with a external hard drive with a fat32 partition

I am having trouble transfering my hdd data from my ps4 to my 1TB hard drive dics. I tried extending the partition and creating mutiple fat32 partitions, but it still didn't read my data from my drive. I tried backing up data that was under 32GB and still was unable to back up on the drive. I was unable to make the drive as an active partition, which I think could be the problem. Im I forced to use the entire drive as fat32 to be able to backup data on my PS4? Also, if I have both fat32 AND NTFS on a drive, what take priority when transfering data? What is the drive know as? I want my fat32 to be readable for my PS4 to extract data from it while also having a NTFS partition. If I an unable to have botb at the same time, please let me know.

PS4 uses exFAT, try formatting your drives that way.
