Cant boot after crashing during driver installation

Well I'm not sure what happened but I no longer can start my computer. It doesn't flash the bios screen or anything. All I get is the monitor recognizing 800x600 resolution and nothing.

Here's how it started:

I bought a GTX 780 ti graphic card
Uninstalled my existing nVidia drivers
Put the new card in and booted up
Installed new drivers for that card specifically
During the install, the screen went black, like normal, but never came back on
After waiting 15 minutes I powered down and tried to boot back up
Now nothing happens

I've tried:

• 
  Removing the card and using the onboard mobo HDMI port
  Resetting the CMOS by removing the batter and also by adjusting pins
  I've tried using my previous video card
  I called nVidia and they said to update my bios but I can't do that without being able to boot the computer

As a test, I removed all the RAM and started the computer. Expecting to at least hear some beeps if not a hardware error message on screen - I get nothing. So I guess it doesn't even know that the RAM is missing.

Any suggestions?

Here's my setup:
ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboard
Cosair AX860 power supply
EVGA 780 Ti

Do fans come on when you push the power button?
How long do you wait when removing cmos battery?
Are you sure you never accidentally knocked loose any of the power connections to the motherboard during video card installation?
As well are you sure that you used the right power connectors for the video card?
Are you using the same hdmi cable all the time for connection to the monitor? Perhaps try a spare one if you have it.
Have you tried using another pci express port for the video card?

Well, I unplugged everything on the mobo and plugged it all back in. I left 3 of the 4 sticks of RAM out of the computer.
It's finally giving me something now. It's telling me:

"Power supply surges detected during the previous power on.
ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit.
Please enter setup to recover BIOS setting.
The data in the EC or EC flash might be corrupted.
Please contact ASUS Technical Support for help.
System will be shut down after 15 seconds"

After a few restarts I figured it wasn't the RAM causing the issue so I put the RAM back in. As soon asI did that, it stopped displaying anything at all again. Turn the computer on and it's just a black screen. So I pulled those 3 sticks back out and I still get nothing even though, with this exact configuration, I was getting the power surge message.

So I'm still in the same boat. Turn the computer on and nothing at all happens.

Do you have another power supply you could try? That sounds like a bad message to me. Its too bad you couldn't get into the bios and maybe get more info then.

The fans do come on.

When trying to reset the CMOS I leave the batter out for a minute or two. Same as when I try to reset using the jumpers.

Right now the video card is out, and I've gone through all the cables, pulling them out and putting them back in - which seemed to get me further with the power surge message I just posted about. But now I'm back where I started from with no display at all. I'll double check the connections again.

As far as power to the video card - right now the card isn't plugged in. I'm just trying to get it to boot up using the mobo's onboard hdmi port. I wanted to minimize the variables.

I have tried other hdmi cables. No change. The same cables are workingk in other devices.

I did try the other PCI-E slot when I was trying to get the video card to work. But agian, it's not plugged in right now. I'd like to just be able to load in to windows and then try again once I can boot.

Do you have another power supply you could try? That sounds like a bad message to me. Its too bad you couldn't get into the bios and maybe get more info then.

I do have another power supply. I just replaced the one I had with this newer AX860. Suppose I can try the old one with the mother board just to try and get the computer to boot. I'll have to work on that tomorrow. I'll put in a call to ASUS too. If I get anywhere I'll come update this post.

I still welcome other suggestions or thoughts! I'll be checking back when I wake up.

Have you tried removing all extra connections to the motherboard like usb headers and all that stuff?
