Can't boot after update

This is on a win 8.1, 64 bit desktop.
Yesterday everything was fine. At end of the day I went to shut down and selected 'update and shut down' and let it go.
This morning, windows will not boot up.
I couldn't do a system restore, couldn't repair, have no backup image.
After some digging around it seems the update has moved my windows folder from C drive to E drive. I don't know how to fix this. Please help, thank you.

Wow. That's a weird one. E drive is just a spare hard drive in the computer? If windows update butchered it that bad then you might need to reinstall windows.
