So I can't boot Windows 10 anymore, so I create a recovery partion. But it only boots the partion when the ssd isn't plugged in. I've tried to disable the ssd and overide the boot to the partion. Nothing works.

Hardware

Asus Z97-A
Gigabyte G1 GTX 970
Ocz 240G SSD
EVGA Supernova 750W

What do you mean by you made a recovery partition? You only listed the ssd so what is recovery partition on? Or do you mean a Windows 10 recovery drive?

Asus Z97 motherboards don't like booting off USB (I know as I have one) so you need to set the USB drives to full initialization.

in the boot menu under advanced settings change the usb mode to full initialization then save and restart. this will enable all usb devices and it will boot from the usb automatically.
