Can't boot from the SSD.

So i have windows 8 if that matters, and i built the system myself. I cloned my HDD using the Samsung Data Migration, but every time i try to boot it it says there are files missing, and that i need a Windows disk to reset all my features, which i dont have. How do i fix this?

The SSD needs to formatted as a system volume (which adds some hidden files). The disk needs to be configured as AHCI in the BIOS.
I haven't read the Samsung dada migration manual, is there any information in there that might help?

The Samsung Assistant says that AHCI mode is not on and it recommends it, although i do not know how to do that, and it doesn't tell me. If you could perhaps tell me how to configure it, that would help. I also says that it is unable to detect SATA interface details

You need to enter the BIOS and configure SATA devices to AHCI there. Check your motherboard's manual for additional information.
But generally speaking, when the computer is first powering up the screen will display a message like 'hit del to ended BIOS', then navigate to the SATA devices and there will be an option to change it to AHCI.

I went into the bios and could not find anything about AHCI there, it just talks about CMOS which i am assuming is the current one, it has Q-flash there, and thats about it, nothing to really change the bios.

You need to read your motherboard's manual. It will tell you how to do it.

If you switch to AHCI on a windows installation that is in IDE, you will most likely get an error upon the next start up. The only way you can switch to AHCI without any problems, is to do a fresh install of the OS with AHCI enabled.

There is a registry hack to do the switch from IDE to AHCI without having to reinstall the OS, but it doesn't always work.

Let us know if you find the bios setting. Microsoft has a fix it now button you can click on to make the necessary changes but you need to run it just before you change it in the bios. There no registry hacks you need to do anymore but i always recommend doing a backup of any important data before making changes to your drive system.

Ok, thanks everyone for the help, i did manage to switch to AHCI using regedit and went to my BIOS and changed it. Now i am reformatting the SSD because even in AHCI mode it told me that /boot/btc or bct something like that was missing.

So my BIOS is set to AHCI, and i cloned my disk using samsung cloning manager, but it made 2 disks from the SSD, disk E which has 99.99 mb and is almost full, and all it has in it is Boot, this disk doesn't show up in bios, and the other disk, F has 111Gb and has all the cloned stuff except that Boot folder. I was told that i need to set the 100mb one as active, but when i looked at it using EaseUS partition master, it said that i was already active, but F has none for its status. What do i need to set everything to, and how do i do it? (Acronis won't work because its Windows8)

well the 99mb partition that it cloned over is the System Reserved partition. have you tried using the windows install disk to do a start up repair?

That should be 350mb for windows 8.. somethings not right here.
Was this system upgraded from win7?

It was upgraded from a windows 7 trial version. My build: 8gb GDDR5 (2133), Radeon HD 7870, Fx-4100 quad core processor, GA-78LMT-S2P motherboard (i know its awful), ST500DM002-1BD142 hard drive, and the new 840 evo SSD 120gb, 64-bit. Are you sure it should be 350mb? because when i looked at drive C, it's hidden partition, the boot one was 100mb. I will try to use macrium to clone data this time instead of samsung data migration or EasyUs.
