cant boot hard drive but can read files from bios

be quiet 650 watt ram
asus z87 pro motherboard
kingston ssd drive

Hi guys my machine keeps booting into bios and when i try to boot the hard drive it just goes black for a few seconds and then returns to the bios screen. Originally i suspected an issue with my thermal paste application but i have set "ignore" to temp and fan speed and still it boots into BIOS. I can read the content of the ssd from the Asus EZ utility so I'm guessing the connection is fine. Do you know why this is happening?
I recently shipped the computer frame and ssd, could the ssd be damaged?

Is possible for you try to enter in safe mode? Hit F8 after BIOS screen shows up.

Press F9 or F1 or F12 (whatever the key would be for "Select a Boot Device" and when you find the menu, point it at your SSD and let us know what happens.

Tried f8 and selected the ssd drive. No luck. What does that mean for the machine?

Boot from the DVD and try to repair Windows Installation...
