I have an Asus H110M-E with a transcend ssd and i've tried installing windows from both disc and usb.

The problem is that when I try to boot form dvd or usb IT ONLY BOOTS IN UEFI. Trying to boot in legacy, it's just a black screen.

After installing in UEFI mode, the SSD ONLY BOOTS IN LEGACY and no option for UEFI.

What the actual hell? I moved from Asrock to Asus, apparently they were top class but this is pure bullshit if I can't solve this I'm returning and getting an Asrock board.

I've also tried change sata mode (eg ACHI, IDE) options but THERE ARE NO OPTIONS???

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

with new mb make sure it has the newest bios on it. with new mb you have to turn off intel securty so that old usb sticks and disk will boots. look for cs under boot turn it off. new windows 10 efi bios dont look for ssd or hard drive now there looking for windows 10 boot files. under boot set the first boot device to windows 10.

Is the boot drive in question formatted to GPT ?

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/dn336946.aspx

Setting the bios to boot in Uefi mode first, requires that the boot able drive is formatted to a Gpt files system Aviation.

It also requires that the boot drive it`s self is Uefi compliant.

Also the advanced settings option in the bios must be chosen.

And there are to boot list order menus.
One is for legacy drives or hardware.

And if you scroll down the page, you will see to boot device references and setup for Uefi based hardware or enabled hard drives for booting.

CSM mode also needs to be enabled in the bios of your motherboard.
