[SOLVED] Can't boot into recovery mode/safe mode with SSD, but I can with my HDD

Last night, I decided to update windows. Now I can't get past the windows loading screen. It looks like it refreshes or something. The loading wheel freezes up and then my motherboard(msi) logo appears and then the windows logo appears and it repeats.

I changed my HDD to boot option #1 and I was able to get into recovery mode/safe mode, and when I wanted to revert to an older version, I couldn't. I assume that's because the windows updates are installed on my SSD and when I change my SSD to boot option #1, I can't get into recovery console anymore. Please help!

How did safe mode work?

You could make a new bootable usb stick with windows on it,but instead of installing windows do a repair.

Was looking at this one today and it form that you can learn it might wel be that you just have to update your bios and maybe you're lucky,

Thanks a lot for the replies fellas, and like a fool, I'm unfortunately not home right now but I asked my brother to try out your solutions @Vic 40.
@workunion I'm using Windows 10

@Vic 40 I'm not sure if safe mode even worked to be honest, I think I turned it on in recovery mode but then it just did the same thing again, the msi motherboard logo appears and then the windows logo appears and the loading wheel dots freeze and the msi logo comes back and this cycle repeats over and over again.

Boot from your installation dvd or usb. Then select repair your computer. Then select troubleshoot then command prompt. Run each command then reboot. Wait for each command to run.
bootrec /FixMbr
bootrec /FixBoot
bootrec /ScanOs
bootrec /RebuildBcd
