Cant boot my computer windows 7 !

Hello,
so I got a new computer for christmas, after a day and a half I accidentily interrupted a update. I tried to restart my computer but then it just stayed at 'Starting Windows'. Now my Computer is checking the c data disk or something for already 2+ hours.... should I leave it like this or restart it and do something else? Please need an answer quick!
