Cant boot my pc

My last HDD broke so a friend of mine gave me one of his own! so i decided to Dban it and then reinstall the windows on it but when i go to reinstall the windows i get Blue screen witn 0x0000007e error

What's the actual code - like IRQ_MORE_OR_LESS_EQUAL or something like that...

Don't reinstall Vista. It's a dead OS.
Have a look around - eBay as well as the usual online retailers and buy whatever is cheapest out of Win7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 - they all upgrade to 10.
Before you do this though, create a Windows 10 CD / DVD using the Media Creation Tool and boot from that and install Windows 10 just to see if it will work, then buy a Windows 10 key and activate the trial you...
