Hi,

I currently have had problems with my PC randomly shutting down and before trying to work out if it is a hardware issue I attempted to rule out if it's a software issue. In order to do this I began a refresh of windows 10 and opted to remove all my files. At some point during the refresh, it failed. When I turned the PC back on it booted to an error "the computer restarted unexpectedly..." and was stuck in a loop.

To resolve this I followed "Solution 1 - Use Registry Editor" at this link https://windowsreport.com/computer-restarted-unexpectedly/ The result of this was another boot loop but without the error message, as seen in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-Y6GMV2ei0

To fix this I created a bootable windows 10 USB to attempt to restore my operating system from a USB device. However when attempting to boot from the USB device in UEFI mode this happens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zsZO8J-w_g Giving the following information: File :\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD Error Code: 0xc000000f

To circumnavigate this my only other option is to boot from the USB device but not in UEFI mode, however when I do so and click "repair my computer" the PC gets stuck on a blue screen indefinitely. As seen in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftQPW8e2ERg Although it may be pointless to note, at the end of the third video the PC shuts itself off, this doesn't usually happen and in all other instances the PC stays stuck on the blue screen indefinitely.

Thank you for any and all support.

Solution
If this happened to me, I'd restore from a recent full system backup I'd made. If you don't have one, it sounds like it's time to do a clean install of Windows.
