Hello

While moving a file from my OS drive (the SSD) to my media HDD, everything suddenly froze. After some wait I turned the PC off with the 5 sec button hold. When I then tried to boot up Windows 8.1, it would just load forever with nothing happening. (I have tried several times)

I have re-installing the OS, but I can't reformat/delete the partition when trying to re-install. I got a 0x80070057 error when trying to format and a 0x80070002 code when trying to delete the partitions. I have also tried formatting the SSD connected to another computer with no luck aswell. When running CMD as administrator from the CD I could not detect the SSD using "Diskpart". I have tried several SATA connecters and I can see the SSD in the BIOS running AHCI.

I'm running out of ideas and would greatly appreciate any effort to help me solve this tricky issue.

Download and run Seatools for windows. Run the short DST (Drive self test). You might just be unfortunate enough to have a drive that failed. You might also try using Gparted to delete and recreate the partition so you can reinstall.

Thank you for the suggestion and I'm sorry that I haven't responded before now...
I tried running Gparted, it still didn't let me format the SSD.
In the end I decided to RMA it.
I sent my SSD to them and they sent a new one in return.
Everything works and I'm happy.
Thanks again!
