I just bought an Acer Aspire from amazon.de
Model is VN7-571-75TC. When i got the laptop it had linux pre-installed. I have a windows 8.1 on a USB (burned into it using Rufus2.2). When i start up the bios it lets me re-arrange the boot order. However when i try to boot from usb it sais: USB HDD: Generic USB Storage has been blocked by the current security policy.
I don't know what to do now...
Pls help :(

Hi

Is this message from the bios or the bootable USB memory stick?
Bios option or bootable USB windows problem?

If you have a spare USB and genuine windows 8.1 DVD then use microsofts windows 7 to USB program then try again

Usually when you boot up from a USB disk on a PC with a uefi bios you get 2 options uefi compatible USB disk and standard USB disk

If you get this option try the other one
Was this 32 or 64 bit windows ?

Finally sometimes windows can not overwrite some Linux boot sectors and partitions
