Cant boot with 16gb of ram

I baught the exp gdc and tryied to install it on my Hp envy 17t-j100 16gb of ram but I couldn't install it, so I tried with only 2 gb of ram and finally I was able to install it, but now I can't boot when I install the16 gb of ram

Is the 16GB RAM you bought 2 8GB sticks or 1 16GB stick?

Have you tried using only one stick? And if so, what happens when you try to boot? Do you get an error or does the laptop not start up at all.

Yes I tried with one and the computer won't boot, no error just a black screen

i just solve it, the thing was that i just needed to update the bios, but thanks for your time, appreciate
