Cant boot with new ssd

I have been having problems with my old ssd (adata su650 250gb) disconnecting and reconnecting. I tried swapping the sata cables, changing sata ports you name it. I even tried changing power settings and switched places with my hdd to see if the power connector was bad.

I got it to halfway work after switching it back to the same way it wasn't working before, but only some files are accessible others say that the file is on an unknown device. So after fiddling with it last night I went to go get a new ssd (samsung 860 evo 500gb )assuming that it would fix it but now I can't boot still using my hdd to boot from. It says there is no bootable device.

So I think I semi Figured this out, after some more messing around I found that the drive I was looking at had switched so it has actually been my HDD that has been giving me all the problems, Boots just fine without it in, don't know how I mixed them up.
