I just got a Dell Vostro for free from a bussiness, it boots up and gets to the log-in screen.
Since it was used by the business before hand it has a network sort of set-up where it has the admin user for the IT's and a generic user login for the employee's where they input their own username and password.
I don't have the passwords obviously and when i insert a Windows 7 disc to reformat. It has a black screen with a few dots on the top left until it goes to the log-in screen. I can hear the cd drive reading and the boot option is set to CD.
I pressed f8/f11 and got it to go into a windows repair menu, but it says I have to log in in order to access the repair menu, and I have to log in with an administrator account to access the command prompt.
Thank you for
any idea's
