Hey everyone,

I am having a massive problem right now and being a knowledgeable person I have attempted so much to sort this out but I just cant. I am trying to simply update my Foxconn 45gm BIOS from the 2007 one to a 2008 one so that I can use my new core 2 duo e6320 cpu, I have downloaded the bios rar folder and extracted the 2 files to a bootable usb drive which is drive H:... this is where things get very confusing, the foxconn website shows a step by step and when they boot to the usb it comes up with A: and shows that you have to type “A: dir” then it should show the 2 bios files.....well I dont actually have a drive labelled as A: so I dont understand how on earth they have them 2 files amongst other files on A: drive when it physically doesnt exist and the files are suppost to be on the usb drive not a random hidden drive....
If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it as this has been a massive headache for me!

USB boot sounds to be making a ram disk and emulating an A: drive, did you use the HP bootable USB tool or Rufus? Of the 3 files in the A: do you see the bios you downloaded? run AFU892 and point it at the 731F1P27.BIN and it should update the board

Yes that is exactly what I thought but when I type H: it says its an Invalid drive and its also saying A: is MEMDISK or something and it shows I have 3 files in A: but the drive is physically not there in My Computer its reallllly confusing
