I got an odd message a few days ago saying I had to install or enable a network card to configure tcp/ip 4, so I unistlaled it and did a clean install with the disk which came with my motherboard. Even though I re-installed successfully, my computer won't let me change my dns settings.

Motherboard: M5A97 LE R2.0
Please help this is really frustrating. I even ran a full scan with spybot search and destroy and full scan of avaast, all that's let are boot scans.

Really I can't get my realtek network card to let me change my settings. Ever since then I've been stuck with the default 🙁

How are you trying to change the DNS?
Most of the time it is handy to change the DNS in your router or modem.
Can you provide us with the model of the router of modem?

The message is really strange. I would say a virus or something. Normally a network card doesn't give messages like that.
Maybe a fresh install of windows is a good idea!
