Question Cant change my monitors refresh rate to the highest possible.

Hi i recently bought a new monitor (iiyama g-master G2466HSU-B1 red eagle) and i cant play on its highest refresh rater (165hz).
I tried to change it in advanced display settings, but there is no option to change it to 165hz. After that i tried to change it to 165hz trough nvidia control panel. When i changed it to anything above 140 hz it crashed. I am using a hdmi 2.0 cable.

The manual for the panel does state that you can use both HDMI and DP for 165Hz. What is the make and model of your discrete GPU? BIOS version for your motherboard? Motherboard's make and model? OS version(not edition) if you're on Windows 10?

Hi, i can only use hdmi. I am using hdmi for the 165hz monitor and for my second monitor im using dp.
My gpu is the gtx 770 directcu OC edition.

motherboard:B75MU3B
Bios version is American Megatrends inc 4.6.5 from 4/25/2012

I have a really old motherboard and im upgrading pretty soon to a way better pc.

version: 21H1

Use DP connection for your high refresh screen instead.

Many monitor manufacturers state you have to have a HDMI 2.1 or Dp to reach over 145hz. Just what I have read.
