Can't change my ram's frequency to 3200mhz, help!

So my pc specs are: GPU: Gtx 1080 g1 gaming
CPU:Ryzen 1700 with stock cooler
MOBO: X370 Fatal1ty gaming x (updated bios 3.40)
RAM: Corsair vengeance 16 GB (2x8) 3200mhz

I tried changing the frequency of my ram through the bios with XMP, but even with lower than 3200mhz it keeps turning off and works only with with the default of 2133mhz , i haven't changed the volt stuff at all...(using a 1440p monitor and an 700watt psu if that even matters)

If the voltage is set at the DDR4 default of 1.2v, you'll most likely need to increase that for higher-speed RAM. I'm not sure of exactly which Corsair Vengeance ram you have, but some similar models are supposed to run at 1.35v.
