Question Cant change speaker configuration to 7.1 :-(

Hello, So i plugged in my hyperx revenger into my acer laptop changed spatial sound settings to 7.1 but i couldnt change the speaker settings from Realtek audio manager.
Im on a laptop so if i disable front jacks sound wont work on headset.

Can you link those headphones, i cant seem to find the Revenger. Only one i saw on their site with the letter R is the Revolver S 7.1.

The Revolver S 7.1 is simulated, done by the control box. Simulated or known as virtual (ie prologic) Dolby 7.1 is not the same as setting Windows to true 7.1.

If your headphones is similar to the Revolver, Windows sees it as stereo and the control box the headphones is connected to virtualises the sound.

Yes its the revolver, and does that mean that i dont have to change any settings for it to work 7.1?

Na not in windows, the controller your headset connects to does the job. Not totally sure what buttons it's got to toggle between modes, im guessing there'd be a button for stereo and surround. Id have to look at the manual again.
