Can't change to 60 hertz in display adapter properties

When I go to advanced display setting->display adapter properties->monitor and I change my refresh rate from 59 hertz to 60 hertz my resolution changes too and I get black bars on top and bottom. I wouldn't mind having it on 59 but I believe this causes my csgo black screen problem with every few alt tabs.

ajust the screen to adapt to panel and scaling by gpu when you set it to 60 hz also if your monitor could handle 1080 p set it to .

You can't change the resolution in this menu or change the screen to adapt. I can do that in Nvidia control panel but that reverts my screen to 59 hertz.

it could be that your monitor could not get it a 60 hz check the manual if they tell something about this and if you have another gpu or monitor to made test to see witch one made this .

idk man, it's a pretty old monitor. It didn't bother me but I started getting black screens with windows 10. Sometimes when I alt tab from fullscreen (Mostly in csgo) I get a black screen and I have to hold the power button.

then try to use a tv if she have pc input to see it you have black screen and how old is the monitor it is a crt model .

It is not crt, it's an LCD. I will try it but I don't plan on replacing my screen, it works fine on windows 7

work good on 7 then you wil have to keep it a 59 hz on win 10 to also did you install the win 7 or win 10 driver on system .

Yes I have all the latest drivers. I would leave it on 59 but I get black screen when exiting fullscreen and I have to reboot my computer it pisses me off.

then i check the gpu in another system taht use win 10 to see if it does the same and if it try rma .

Changing my screen helped. Changing my screen to 60 hz and then trying fullscreen with csgo help too but my resolution is weird that way.
