I have been trying for the last month to 'complete' the windows update on my system (win 7 x64 Ultimate) but after the downloading I get the 80070005 error. I've tried everything. Win 7 runs fine. I recently read in a post that installation to an SSD is a problem. I have a mushkin MKNSSDRE1 TB. Do you think this is the problem?

You could try downloading the win10 upgrade file using their Windows 10 upgrade download tool and save it as an ISO file instead of relying on windows update to to it, just incase its got corrupted somehow. I successfully upgraded 4 win7 Home (64bit) boxes all with SSD using the ISO without problems.

I just tried the downloaded to USB method and it won't do it either. From within windows I click the setup (from the usb drive), a little blue Windows 10 block opens up on the middle of the screen, then after half a minute it just goes away, without starting or communicating with me. Just don't understand it.
