Cant Configure headset to 7.1 or at all windows 10

Hi so i was able to configure my headphones yesterday and was able to set it to 7.1 virtual surround sound. Today however it seems to have stopped working in 7.1 and i can no longer configure my headphones. The headphones are logitech g430's. They are connected via a 3.5mm headphone and mic jack to usb that logitech provides with the headset.

As you can see the configure button is grey but in this
image it is not.

That headset is software based 7.1 so if your looking at the windows hardware config settings its gonna say Stereo. The software should have a icon in the bottom right of the screen to click on to modify the settings for configuration.
