my laptop screen cracked, so i need to use an external
have tried multiple iterations of hdmi
even tried mini dp.
black screen after bootup to windows.
some things to note, even though my laptop screen cracked, the laptop monitor no longer lights up, this is worrying'when i tried fixing this issue, sometimes I would get input on my monitor after waiting some time, this has happened twice and I cant reproduce that reliably, however this happens at random when I log in blind, and when it does it opens up at a low res. The pc is running, this is either an issue with the graphics card (really hope not) or just a quirck of windows being a bitch.
I have some theories, my laptop is very beefy and launches at 1080p 360hz, and maybe my external monitor cant handle that, even though I never had this problem when I worked with a duel display.
I also tried changing my display mode with hotkeys, not sure if it did anything because nothing is changed, Im operating blind rn so I cant tell if I managed to successfully change it or not.
