Can't connect monitor to GPU

I am struggling with connecting my Acer Predator XB241H to my GTX1050Ti via DVI. nVidia control Panel doesn't find the monitor.
My cable looks like this:

this cable is directionnal from dp to dvi so you need a hdmi to hdmi cable or a display port to display port cable the one you have wont work check in the specs .
