Hello
I have recently bought a USB wifi adpater for my PC (this one), and have been able to use normally for a few weeks, connecting to the 5Ghz Broadband. I actually have a second one, the exact same which has the same problem (with the same computer)
At that time, I had 7ms ping, 160mbps download, 60mbps upload.
A few days ago it started to refuse to connect to the 5Ghz connection and doing weird stuff.
When I try connecting to my 5Ghz Wifi, all the available networks disappear, leaving only the 5Ghz one and "hidden network"
The 5Ghz network is suddenly shown to have very poor reception (as opposed to the very good it had before) and when it gets connected (which sometimes doesn't work), it becomes "connected, no internet".
I've tried disabling QoS, which allows me to use it but I end up with 55ms pig, and 10mbps on download/upload, which is way worse.
I can conncet to the 2.4Ghz network, but to do so I need to forget the 5Ghz network, unplug/replug the wifi adapter
and pray that it'll work out. The 2.4Ghz network works fine, but it's not as good, and I don't want to risk using a overloaded broadband and get lags (with online gaming and everything)
There are other computer in my house ; a Mac, and a Lenovo Thinkpad, both using the 5Ghz network without any sort of trouble. And the Mac is right next to the pc that has trouble connecting (I never use both at the same time, as the pc is my gaming computer and mac is for work, both using the same screens) so I doubt it's a distance issue.
What I've tried so far (non exhaustive list) :
Disabling IPV6 (unsuccesful), Disabling QoS (partially succesful), uninstalling the driver (unsuccesful), changing USB port (unsuccesful), and a few other things I can't recall.
I'd connect with an RJ45 cable, but my Ethernet port is dead (I think, that's a whole other problem) and I'd rather not pull a cable all the way downstairs.
If anyone has an idea I'd really appreciate the help.
