So I finished building my PC just some time ago and I've been able put to put it together and download a standard version of Windows 8.1

Now however, since starting up the system I've found that I'm unable to connect to my wifi wirelessly and a wired internet cable simply isn't an option. I've tried to connect wirelessly and a wired connection just isn't an option.
When I attempt to conmect to my routed it displays "Error 651: The Modem (Or some other device) has reported an error."

Some things to note are:
- I haven't activated the Windows because I was hoping I could activate it over the internet
- I'm stupid, please be detailed when you describe something.

Thanks for reading this forum, mind even replying! It means a lot to me :D

That link is to the on-board spec for the motherboard. It clearly shows it has no WIRELESS network capability. Only wired networking. Therefore, you need a wireless network card, or a cable, to be able to connect it to the router!

While not using a cable isn't an option in the end, it would certainly help to use one to at least check the router is working. It also helps to be able to check the router security settings are the same as what Windows is asduming ypu are using. Remember you don't just need a password, you also need a matching encryption method. Also, did you per chance use fixed mac addressing in the router whitelist? If so, would Windows maybe have changed or spoofed the mac address as some kind of nanny protection. I'd guess not, but certainly something to look at... if only you could use a cable temporarily.

When I inserted the disc to the MOBO and Indtalled the LAN driver some time ago according to my PC. So yes, but it still refuses to connect to the internet.

That's the LAN driver for the wired ethernet port.
Does this PC have a WiFi adapter?
