Can't connect to the Internet

Hey guys I literally just finished my PC and booted it up for the first time, and once I finished installing the OS, I plugged in the ethernet cable and it still said I had no internet, I have Intel Core i5-6600k with Asus Maximus Viii Hero, right now I'm trying to download the latest drivers onto a USB and install them this way, but if that doesn't work then I have no idea what to do to solve this problem.

Look in device manager. If there's nothing under network, there are no drivers

Install them you should get online

What version of windows did you install?

Oh and by the way, an orange light keeps blinking by the ethernet port which the manual says it means the ethernet is connected and there is data activity so I'm confused, could it just be that there's no driver??? And if so, will installing them from USB work, if not then I have no other way of installing them. By the way, I have no optical drive.

I looked under device manager and I have no driver installed. So will downloading onto USB work???

You can install anything from a flash drive. If its an exe. If it's zipped remember to unzip it first
