CAN'T connect to the NET

OK,I HAVE A WINDOWS 8 consumer preview and when i try to connect to the internet using a data card the connection is cut just after it is made....i even tried the tethering option by which i connect my mobile to my PC but it didn't work to.....when i try to open the networking option from the task bar it doesn't even opens,so i tried to diagnose the problem and it gave some error code..what fascinated me was that context - restricted thing....please help...
