can't connect to wifi

can connect to my modem or another computer by cable hookup and i can get online but cannot connect thru wifi mode.

Does your computer support wifi? Also what is your wifi card?

More info needed.. Laptop PC ? Have you reinstalled Windows or Linux ? etc..
