Can't connect wireless adapter EDIMAX AC1750 to router

Hi guys,

Yesterday I got my EDIMAX AC1750 wireless adapter but I'm not able to connect it to my router. I'm using a FRITZ!Box router and windows 10. I installed the driver from the cd and restarted my PC. I checked 100 times if my password is correct but it doesn't help.

When I try to connect to my router I get a message saying that my security key is not correct. I tried connecting with my old wi-fi adapter and it works, same goes for my cell phone. So I guess everything is fine with my router.

Does anybody have any ideas what could I do?

Have you tried using WPS ?

Thanks for your reply. I did try that and I have to say it worked but I'm still puzzled why couldn't I connect manually. Do you know why is that?
