Can't create Steam library on 16 GB Ramdisk

I'm not sure how much this has to do with memory, but I used some built-in software that came with my motherboard (ROG Ramdisk 2.01.01) to create a 16 GB ramdisk from my 32 GB of memory. However, Steam won't let me create a game directory on it; the option doesn't even appear. It only allows me to put it on my internal disks; my two HDDs and my SSD. Why is that?

If you google for steam games ramdisk, several options will present. No idea if any of them actually 'work', but have a look.
