Can't decide about CPU

Hello all,

I bought MSI MPG Z390 Gaming motherboard, and 2x8 GB Corsair RAM. I have GTX 1060 6 GB on my current system. I need only CPU for my new build but i can't decide. I don't want to OC and i'll use this system for gaming only. I'm between i7 8700 and i5 9600K. i know 9600K is for OC but it's cheaper than i7 8700 and doesn't have a non-K version. Do you have any suggestions?

A core i7 8700 proves to be one of the best gaming cpus to date. You may want a k skew for that overclocking ready motherboard, however the regular 8700 will perform simmilar. If you can get 8700 over the 9600k i would get the 8700. The 9600k and 8700 both have the same max turbo frequency, however the 8700 has 6 more threads than the 9600k.
