I live in Canada and am wondering if anyone knows some good sites to look for GPUs.
the pricing here is really outrageous. I've found a GTX 770 for $319 and a GTX 780 for $499
and I'm not sure which to get. Should i wait for the new r9 290s with better cooling? I game on a 27 inch monitor 1920 x 1080. I Generally play BF4, WoW, CoD.

There are lot of questions asked on tom's on this very same topic. The result ended up with "It's not really worth spending almost $200 more on gtx 780" and almost every OP agreed with it unless he really had the budget to buy gtx 780.
So I'd say if you wan't to save some money but don't want to wait, then gtx 770 or r9 280x is your way to go. But, as you may know r9 290 is really better than gtx 780 and also less priced. I really recommend you to wait for r9 290 to come with aftermarket coolers. Gtx 780 isn't really worth the money right now, atleast not when considered the price and performance of r9 290.
Also, if your PC case is well cooled then you may not even need to wait for r9 290 with better coolers as they can handle that temps.

319 and 499 are normal retail prices if you are talking American dollars. If you get a 780 you will be able to max out any game at 60 fps with 4-8x aa and have the option to go over 60hz if your monitor supports it.
