I'm looking to add a gpu to a ThinkCentre Desktop PC M71e (3133B3U)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883108935
Mine has 4 gb of ram instead of 2gb though.

I'm a very casual gamer. I only play older titles and low req games, mostly blizzard games.
I been getting by for the last 6 or so months on this intel g630's intergraded graphics.
though I have had to put the settings as low as possible.
I mostly use it for movies, tv shows, music, lots of web surfing, youtube.

These two gpu's seem like my only option as this pc only has 280w and single pci slot.

Iv read a lot of reviews and it seems that the PNY GeForce GT 730 1GB DDR5 can bring life into a
low end/out dated desktop like mine. If I got the GT 730 this would be the only upgrade I would be willing to invest into this pc.

This GPU is $100 in Canada.

If I got the MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti DirectX 11.2 N750ti-2GD5TLP 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5, I would be willing to invest more money into this PC as it is a 1155 socket system and would be able replace parts as I go along. mabie to a i5, 8 gb ram, mobo, psu

This GPU is $170 in Canada.

Final Thoughts: seems like a waste to get the GT 730 if I where to upgrade the cpu/ram, making it not the best part of the PC anymore. on the other hand If I did get the GT 730 it might also give me time to start building a whole new PC, mabie a -GeForce GTX 950 or 960 based pc.

I'd get a 750 ti because it can be used in your next system as well.

With A 750 ti In a new system you can run world of Warcraft on ultra if you tweak a few settings. So obviously it can run the other blizzard games good too

get the GTX 750 Ti, it is an awesome card that is amazingly power efficient for the performance it provides. The next thing to upgrade would be the PSU, then get the i5 or even a Xeon with Hyperthreading. I would leave the ram for last.

Also you could start by upgrading CPU first. I do not know where you plan to buy old sandy bridge or ivy bridge CPUs but I have gotten 2 i5 2500 for around $100 USD in ebay.

I went with the GTX 750ti. I'v been looking at some ultra portable desktop builds and thats something that might interest me down the line, they seem to all use this GPU.
I think i would have regret getting the GT 730, the difference in the cards is just to much to pass up for an extra $80.

Though I did see that GTX 950ti's are coming out low profile style and will probably dominate the smallest of small high end desktop builds.

I think ill upgrade the mobo/Cpu next and run it with my old 4gb ram/280w psu, then replace the Psu, and the ram last.
I think ima go with the G3258 it seem's like a very good cpu to start learning how to overclock, because i love to tinker. the mobo will probably just be low end with capable overclocking bios.
I wont overclock anything untill i have a new Psu though.

Thanks everyone for your opinions it helped me alot.
