Now then here is the problem people,i am planning on buying the 30" acer z301 ultrawide monitor, but i read so many bad things about it,mostly severe ghosting, and if i'm not mistaken, there are both IPS and VA versions of this(although i'm not sure),now which one would be better?I just want a good gaming experience and if possible without ghosting(g-sync is important,as i have an rog poseidon 1080 ti)

Solution

Either are good.

Here is an ultrawide:
PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z4mfXH
Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z4mfXH/by_merchant/

Monitor: LG - 34UC89G-B 34.0" 2560x1080 166Hz Monitor ($749.99 @ B&H)
Total: $749.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

GSynce, 166Hz, Ultrawide. Has a response time of 5ms which is not ideal but not bad as well.
I would go for this instead:
PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/H4jVvV
Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/H4jVvV/by_merchant/

Monitor: Dell - S2716DGR 27.0" 2560x1440 144Hz Monitor ($399.99 @ Best Buy)
Total: $399.99
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Has G-Sync, 144Hz, 1 Ms, 1440p.

If you want to stick with the monitors you have chosen, I would go IPS.

Thanks for the answer, although can new tn panels rival ips panel? Also i'd reaaaallllyyy like a ultrawide monitor (but it needs to be 2560x1080 and g-sync),and the acer predator looks incredible(in my opinion)
